Welcome to Fogbreak

A short introduction: the game, the coast it is set on, and what you can play today.

By The Fogbreak team

Fogbreak started with one picture: a keeper on a wet pier, a lantern in her hand and a wall of fog in front of her. Most of the game grew out of that.

It is a roguelite wave shooter you play in the browser, on a computer or a phone. You are Maren Holt, the last Lantern Keeper of Saltmere. A fog the locals call the Hush comes in off the sea every night, and the people it catches do not come back quite themselves. Your job is to keep the lights burning.

A stage takes four to seven minutes. You move and dash, your rifle fires on its own, and you spend the run deciding where to stand, which door to take at each crossroads and which skills to pick when you level up.

What you can play today

Three chapters, Saltmere Harbor, the Weeping Marsh and the Sunken Chapel, with ten stages each and a mini-boss and a boss in every chapter. Four heroes. The Lighthouse, where the survivors you rescue settle in between runs. And the Lantern Tower and the Daily Tide, for when you want a longer climb or a challenge everyone plays on the same day.

This is a test build, so expect rough edges. If something breaks, the support page reaches us directly.

See you on the coast.
