Is Fogbreak really free?
Yes. You can play the whole game without paying, and everything in it can be earned in play. Spending only speeds things up or buys cosmetics. The story is never behind a paywall.
What do I need to play?
A recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari on a computer, an Android phone, an iPhone or an iPad. There is nothing to install. The first visit downloads about 20 MB, and your browser keeps it after that.
Do I need an account?
No. You start as a guest and your progress is saved in this browser. Add an email and a password and your progress is safe, and you can carry on from another device. To buy anything you need an account with an email.
What can I buy, and what does it cost?
Gems, which are the only premium currency, plus a few bundles and passes. You see the real price before you pay, and every gem price in the game shows what it is worth in euros. Gems you buy never expire.
Are there loot boxes?
No. Nothing random is sold, for money or for gems, and you always see what you get. The Drop Rates page explains how rewards from play work.
Can I limit my spending?
Yes. In your account you can set daily and monthly limits or pause purchases for 7 or 30 days. Lowering a limit works right away; raising one takes 24 hours. Your purchase history is always shown in real money.
Is it suitable for younger players?
The story is dark and melancholy, but there is no gore (a content rating is pending). We ask for a month and year of birth once. Younger players automatically get spending caps and no time-limited offers, and children see no purchases, ads or optional analytics.

What data do you collect?
Only what we need to run the game and keep it fair. Analytics and crash reports are collected only if you allow them, and this site has no third-party trackers or ads. You can download or delete your data from your account at any time.
